VACONO Aluminium Covers traces its roots back to Germany’s first aluminium smelting company, established in Rheinfelden in 1898.

Our expertise in aluminium tank covers began in 1977 with the manufacture of our first Internal Floating Roof, followed by our first Aluminium Geodesic Dome Roof in 1982. Since 2002, VACONO has operated as a privately owned company.

To date, we have delivered more than 5,200 Internal Floating Roofs and 1,100 Aluminium Dome Roofs worldwide. As an approved supplier to leading oil and energy companies—including Shell, TotalEnergies, BP, ExxonMobil, Saudi Aramco and Eni — our products are installed across every continent and in a wide range of climatic conditions.
