i.safe MOBILE GmbH, based in Lauda-Koenigshofen/Germany, was founded in 2011 and is today one of the world's leading and most innovative developers of mobile communication devices such as mobile phones, smartphones, tablet PCs etc. for safe use in hazardous areas and for robust use in industry and outdoors.
Engineers and specialists at the Lauda- Koenigshofen site develop practice-oriented products and individual, customer-specific software solutions based on legal regulations.
The i.safe MOBILE R&D team incorporates all international standards into product development and is itself an active member of the relevant standardization committees. In addition, i.safe MOBILE cooperates with solution providers in the areas of push-to-talk, mobile device management, maintenance software or lone worker in order to be able to offer complete solutions from a single source. i.safe MOBILE is represented by a subsidiary in Singapore and sales partners in 72 countries.

With our robust mobile phones, smartphones and tablets, you are on the safe side both in potentially explosive atmospheres and in harsh outdoor environments.
All devices are certified to IP68 and are therefore dust and water resistant.
Furthermore, they comply with the military standard MIL-STD 810G. The high temperature resistance enables reliable operation even in extreme situations.
IS440.1
The 5G radio ensures secure and failure-free PoC communication via public or campus networks (4G or 5G) or Wi-Fi® in Ex-Zone 1/21. A gateway makes the IS440.1 interoperable with previous radio technologies and enables a seamless integration into existing systems. The 5G radio offers a user-orientated look & feel, a replaceable battery, large buttons for PTT, SOS, talkgroup selection, a powerful front speaker, an ISM interface and a functional fixing clip.

IS940.1 - IS945.1
The 10.1-inch 5G Android IS 940.1 and Windows tablet IS 945.1 are for data communication in the process industry and in automation integrates seamlessly into the existing system landscape with 4G/5G campus networks or Wi-Fi 6. It is equipped with a powerful, IIoT-optimised chipset from Qualcomm® Technologies, Inc. Other highlights of the robust and easy-to-handle tablet include a 16-pin ISM interface, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC support, a replaceable, long-lasting battery, freely programmable buttons and main and front cameras.

The high-performance intrinsically safe smartphone can be used in a variety of ways thanks to the ISM interface. Additional modules such as the remote speaker mic, PTT headsets or the IS-TH1xx.1 professional barcode scanner turn the IS530.1 into a high-performance multifunctional device. The smartphone is Android Enterprise Recommended, zero-touch capable and MDM compatible.

The mobile multifunctional set consisting of a Trigger Handle (hand-held barcode scanner) and an industrial smartphone IS530.x is a flexible combination for reliable data acquisition in industrial areas. The HID-active, ready-to-use high-performance scanner captures any 1D or 2D barcodes at close range of up to 6 meters or distances up to 18 meters via the reliable Zebra OEM imager scan engines. The data is further processed directly via the IS530.x smartphone connected via the ISM interface.
